One of our favorite brands is getting louder with their new campaign “Is It Still Paint?” Though we’re equal-opportunity paint lovers, we find that Benjamin Moore lines reflect the quality and longevity we’re looking for when we leave a room freshly colored. Their new marketing is trying to shift the consumer mentality to one closer to ours, as opposed to the idea that “paint is paint.” There are many other brands out there – Valspar, Behr and Sherwin Williams, just to name a few – but Benjamin Moore is looking to stand out on store shelves and home walls with a new spin on the commodity.
Teaming up with The Martin Agency, the paint brand is showing up in commercials, print ads, on the radio and even online in a new wave of advertising that’s aiming to help people seek out a brand, not just a color, when they choose their paint.
The new ads even have a spot for their allergy and asthma-friendly Natura brand, which we absolutely love in every room, but especially bedrooms and nurseries.
The subtle humor and striking images are the result of Thirtytwo from Pulse Films putting a directorial spin on the ads, known for large campaigns for brands like Puma, VW and Samsung.
What do you think – with everything Benjamin Moore paint can evoke, is it still paint?
